Radio Portuguese Public

RDP is the direct heir of the Emissora Nacional de Radiodifusao. Radio station were nationalised and grouped under an umbrella entity called RDP - Empresa Publica da Radiodifusao (RDP - Portuguese Public Radio). The exceptions to this rule were Radio Renascenca and two other small stations. Modernisation is continuing and the company has entered the era of digitalisation.In 1998 RDP introduced Portugal to DAB - Digital Audio Broadcasting.
