Radio station PuLSECountry: UK City: London If you want to be like God, come and join the team at PuLSE FM! Located adjacent to the Beaver office, and within crawling distance of the Tuns, PuLSE is the LSE's Internet based radio station - the ultimate place to bunk off lectures during your first term. From its humble beginnings (PuLSE first broadcast on the airwaves of London in February '99) the station has progressed to broadcasting over the Internet, covering a global audience as well as entertaining on campus and in halls.
Perhaps one of the best things PuLSE has done to date is its series of live web-casts, which have covered a number of famous speakers and celebrities at the LSE - including Nelson Mandela and Madeline Albright. At the moment, the team are desperately trying to get their hands on a highly coveted FM radio license, which would mean broadcasting to the whole of London by 2002. Meanwhile PuLSE is looking to win the Radio One awards next summer and approach the next level of media stardom.
